Poem for a Friend

This poem was written for Holly Hunter, a talented Poetess, dear friend and lovely woman who is often on my mind…

There’s a landscape in my dreams
One of mountains, sun and streams
With a trail, where my heart wanders free

Drifting on a summer breeze
Round a bend of soft fir trees
To a spot where she lives – sweet Holly

Long locks of lustrous red hair
Greet a fetching derriere
Her green eyes captivate, mesmerize

Heated dreamscapes flow spellbound
While two hearts, as one, resound
By the moon, sharing love till sunrise
