Cumberland Mountain State Park
The Cumberland Mountain State Park is a 1,720-acre park situated on the Cumberland Plateau, in Crossville, Tennessee.
See map location here.
The parks best-known landmark is the Byrd Lake Bridge Dam, an unsuspended structure built for the impoundment of Byrd’s Creek by the Civilian Conservation Corps, Company 3464. Completed in 1938, the bridge dam is faced with Crab Orchard stone – a colorful sandstone unique to the area and found in only one other part of the world – and forms a beautiful 35-acre lake.
Learn more about the park through the Tennessee Parks Department.
