This is an iPhone photograph of a photograph of me taken with a Kodak disposable camera, circa 1995, standing behind Cumberland Falls. A friend and I took a road trip from Michigan to Corbin, Kentucky, to camp for a few days while visiting the Niagara of the South, a popular waterfall standing 60-feet high by 125-feet wide. Looking back, I’ve concluded that the rudimentary barriers in place to discourage access to this area were installed for good reason.
