Poem

From recollection of a 1998 disc golf tournament I played in Stoneman Lake, AZ – In the Pines: 4th Annual Tribute to Jerry Garcia – to a roadtrip flashback of Grateful Dead shows attended in 1985, I wrote this short poem…

In the pines and under stars
Concert goers swayed around
In beads to beats of bongos
Dancing bears rode waves of sound

Throughout the night
The music played
Until the morning sun

We stowed our tent
And hit the road
– deadheads in search of fun
