Located east of Asheville, North Carolina, this photograph features the lower aspect of 100-foot tall Lower Catawba Falls. The park is currently closed during renovations, particularly the trail section to Upper Catawba Falls, along which hikers have been injured, and died. Hopefully, the new trail system will be safe and open to the public soon, as these waterfalls are truly stunning and worth a visit!
