After a strenuous 2.5 mile hike downhill, through mud and over roots along a rocky trail, I reached this giant cave located at Virgin Falls State Natural Area, in Sparta, Tennessee.
When water is present, visitors can enjoy Big Laurel Falls, standing 40-feet tall, and can also hike into the cave, which rests atop the states largest network of underground caverns.
