Return To Cumberland Falls

Located in Corbin, Kentucky, Cumberland Falls, in addition to being the only location in the Western Hemisphere to have a “Moonbow”, is also known as the Niagara of The South. Spanning 125-feet across the Cumberland River, the falls stand 60-feet tall and generate a thunderous sound of falling water which echoes throughout the gorge.

See map location here.

It’s a very popular tourist destination, with a broad range of hospitality amenities to enjoy – kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, public pool, restaurants, motels, camping and cabins for rent. On site is ample parking, restrooms, gift shop, visitor center, scenic overlooks, picnic tables, and sometimes a local musician.
