In my considered opinion, its absolutely true – imperfections are perfectly beautiful. Unique characteristics provide interest and greater beauty than that which is otherwise commonplace. Relative to this vintage glass macro photography, it’s the air bubbles, variations in thickness of glass, color and discolorations, pitted surface, etc., which make it especially appealing.

I agree with you…perfect is boring. Anything imperfect has a story to it…your vintage glass for example has us wondering (well, me anyway) how the artisan felt when those bubbles appeared, what the glass jar or bottle might have been used for, how many families it might have served over time, whether anyone else marvelled at those very distinct bubbles, and so on. Thanks for reminding us of the joys of imperfection!
