Yes, the views were outstanding!!! The best spot (wouldn’t you know it) is another mile across the top of the mountain – called Myrtle’s Point. Who needs rest, anyway? All told, it’s a 12-mile roundtrip hike, followed by some serious sleep and sore muscles the next day or two 😂😂😂 I’ll go again for my third hike in the fall, hopefully timed for when the change of color is at peak.
