Following my hike to Spruce Flats Falls, I drove in the direction of Cades Cove to take another look at Meadow Branch Cascade.
There’s no point of access to this site. Instead, one parks 1/4 mile further west along Laurel Creek Road – near the tunnel – and then backtracks following West Prong Little River. A steep dirt path leads downhill 20-feet to the water, where Meadow Branch Cascade is visible across the river.
Though I’d visited this spot a few times before, taking pictures from a distance, this time I decided to get my shoes wet and carefully walk through the river to the opposite side – and, then up the mountain.
