Clingman’s Dome

Standing 6643-feet tall, Clingman’s Dome is the highest point in the Smoky Mountains National Park, located on the border of North Carolina & Tennessee. It’s a popular tourist destination, with a 1/2 mile paved path leading up a steep grade to an observation tower offering 360-degree views.

    I love all those layers of hills and the gradient of colors as they get further away!

      Thanks, Tiffany ~ I agree, and in retrospect think the clouds are nice, too (when I shot the photograph, I was muttering where’s all the blue in the sky?!) 😂
