Vintage Lighthouse

Located on the shores of Lake Superior in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, in the city of Marquette, this vintage photograph features a now automated Coast Guard lighthouse.

Growing up as a child, I lived only three blocks away and spent countless hours on this beach – formerly referred to as Michigan Beach (now, McCarty’s Cove).

This picture is available on several wonderful products in the following shops – check it out:

Hope to see you soon!

  1. Must have been so much fun growing up so close to this lighthouse. I have to get to the UP soon. 😊

    1. Yes, the UP is wonderful ~ God’s country ~ with beaches, islands, mountains, water, piers and break walls 🌞 And snow, too ❄️ Thanks for stopping by, Irene & have a great week ahead!

      1. Okay, you’ve sold me on trip there without the snow. 😁

        1. 😂 Yes, the cold & snow are very real, though so too is the spectacular change-of-seasons autumn foliage ✅

          1. Autumn sounds perfect. I don’t mind the cold and snow much. I just rather not be the one driving on a road trip with slushy snow or ice. 😏

  2. Beautiful! I love lighthouses.

    1. Same here ~ I’m glad you like it, Filipa & have a great day 🙏😊

  3. Your lighthouse photo is gorgeous and your time on the beach as child sounds idyllic. 😊

    1. Thank you so much, dear Michele. Marquette, Michigan is one of the best places to spend a summer ~ amazing nature, and the character & power associated with Lake Superior is indeed inspiring. I appreciate your comment, and wish for you a wonderful Wednesday 😘🍀

      1. It does sound incredible with many photo opportunities. Thank you! Happy Wednesday to you too. 🌞
