Benton Falls

Chilhowee Mountain

Located at the Chilhowee Recreation Area within the Cherokee National Forest of the Southern Appalachian Mountains in Tennessee, Benton Falls stands 65-feet tall and can be enjoyed on a 3 mile out and back hike.

There’s a $3 fee for day use, swimming in Lake McCamy, restrooms with plumbing, and the trails are mostly sand and clay, with limited larger (flat) rocks.

These photographs were taken following heavy rainfall associated with Hurricane Ida.

    1. Yes, I think so too ๐Ÿ˜ The recent weather-system bolstered water levels far greater than during my two previous visits. In addition, I had the place to myself – very peaceful. Have a nice Labor Day holiday, my friend ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š
