Savage Falls

Morning sunlight struggles to pierce a lingering fog and mist in the air, as the powerful Savage Falls thunders through a gorge in the South Cumberland State Park of Tennessee. This 30-foot tall waterfall can be enjoyed on a manageable 3.6 mile out and back hike. If interested, you can visit my gallery to review many print types available…

This is the kind of beauty that people write poems about, set stories in. There are whispers from the leaves and figures in the mist – fascinating, deeply affecting visceral beauty. 👏👏👏👏👏

I too think it is beautiful, amidst the fog and mist ~ somewhat mysterious. 🕵️‍♂️✍🏼 Thank you, Robin 🙂

Really like this one, Phil. Made me think of The Lord of the Rings.

Ah, yes, I can imagine a Lord of the Rings character stepping through the fog to become visible…Gandalf the Grey, Galadriel the Elf Queen, or perhaps Frodo Baggins. Better yet, the Lady of the Lake! 🤗

Thank you, my friend. Usually, I hope for clear weather when hiking, but the fog & mist really added to the ambience of the landscape. Have a great day, Tiffany. 🙂

Yes, far into the forest this tranquil setting would serve splendidly as such. And also bump the water up a few degrees. 😍
