Return to Foster Falls

Located in the South Cumberland State Park near Sequatchie, Tennessee, Foster Falls is a 60-foot tall picturesque waterfall which can be enjoyed by visitors both young and old.

The park features a paved road, restrooms, drinking fountain and a wooden boardwalk leading to an observation deck overlooking the gorge and falls.

From there, a short walk along a sandy path leads hikers to the forest, where one encounters a more difficult, steep downhill trail consisting of many rocks. There’s also a suspension bridge at the base, to cross the river.

It was overcast during my visit, yesterday. Nevertheless, it’s a beautiful park and well worth a road trip to enjoy the great outdoors!
