Winter Waterfall

Located on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee, this photograph of Upper Potter’s Falls was taken soon after sunrise, with an outdoor temperature of only 20 degrees, and mist frozen on trees. Hanging from a tree is a knotted-rope swing, pushed forward slightly by winds generated from falling water. If you’d like to see more, many prints are available in my gallery at Fine Art America.
