Top of the World

No, these photographs weren’t taken on Mount Everest. Nor were they shot from hole #27 at the Delaveaga Disc Golf Course, in Santa Cruz, California.

Rather, these views were captured while visiting Clingmans Dome, located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park along the state line between North Carolina and Tennessee – the tallest peak (6,643-feet) in Tennessee.

Fortunately, you won’t need to climb a mountain to enjoy these scenic views. Instead, you can visit my gallery to discover a variety of fine print possibilities featuring your favorite image, including: framed, canvas, tapestry, metal, art, poster, acrylic and wood.

Good photographs. Quality prints. Wonderful views. Thanks for visiting!

  6. Clingmans Dome was a short but difficult dome to climb. I must have stopped a hundred times before I reached it. You can say I did โ€œclimb a Mt Everestโ€. Great shot!

    1. Cool, thank you! ๐Ÿ‘

  7. Wow, I’ve never seen views like this in these mountains, there are mountains surrounding Las Vegas that are at 6600 feet! Beautiful photos, Phil. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  9. That’s quite a view! ๐ŸŒ„

    1. It’s a wonderful sight to behold, as are you this morning, my lovely friend. ๐Ÿ’ฏ What’s kind of a trip is visiting this place on a busy weekend afternoon, where you’ll count in excess of 25 different state license plates. And, it’s sometimes a gamble with the clouds – it can be as thick as pea soup and without a view…making it easy to appreciate natural beauty, when present. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. Your description reminds me of a few locations in Maui. Having your head in the clouds isn’t the worst thing. ๐Ÿ˜ถโ€๐ŸŒซ๏ธ

        1. Thanks Michele, I’ve heard it’s beautiful. ๐ŸŒž Hopefully I’ll get there one day. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ€

  10. Beautiful, look at that mist <3

    1. Yes, beautiful Hannah ~ thank you, my dear friend! ๐Ÿ˜‡

  11. Your incredible photos always inspire me to visit your area, Phil, what time of year would you suggest for someone who likes to do moderate hikes?

    1. You’re most kind, dear Tiffany ~ thanks a bunch! As per time of year, Spring has the most water. Summer is vibrant with green, warm and humid, and the least water. Autumn is cooler, medium water and lovely colors. In winter, you can see the farthest. Really, because there’s so much to enjoy, any season is a good time, though I’d probably rank my recommend as Autumn, Spring, Summer and then Winter. And, if you ever decide to visit, I’d love to be your tour guide! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

      1. Good information, I’m thinking Fall would be good, and yes, I will take you up on that offer! ๐Ÿ˜‰

        1. Right on, my dear friend ~ that would be great!! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿงก๐ŸŒž
