Poems in Comment

Over the passed few years, I’ve published several poems which were written as responses to postings by, or comments of, various friends on WordPress. Here are a few examples…

Title of Post With Link: “Moved Beyond Measure
Poetess: Michele Lee

So kind of Dawn to share her post
Highlighting works of Sammi Lee
You two make an impressive team
– a close, creative family

Title of Post With Link: “And Just Like That the View Changed
Poetess: Kym Gordon Moore

A lovely haiku
And positive view
As we look toward the future anew

Your words resonate
A vision and trait
Make the most, grow with time, see it through

Title of Post With Link: “Spruce Flats Falls“ – *
Poetess: Michele Lee

The soothing sounds of falling water are almost hypnotic, with a faint echo through the forest intensifying as you grow nearer the source…cool, refreshing mountain water. In my eyes, few sights are more desirable, with the distinct exception of seeing your heavenly smile to start the day – that makes it for me.

Title of Post With Link: “Autumn Reflections“ – *
Poetess: Cindy Georgakas

Stay safe, and always sweet. Keep on the path, so too, your feet.

Title of Post With Link: “A Woman’s Journey Toward Authenticity
Poetess: Michele Lee

A challenge of the spoken word
Absurd, to say the least
You’re half my size (but twice as strong)
– a beautiful artiste

Okay, I’ll play
But not too long
As dinner time is soon

At ten paces
We’ll turn and write
Just words, and no harpoons

For me, I’ll say
I love your smile
And have since first we met

And, you’ll respond
I’ve heard enough
This contest, I regret

Title of Post With Link: “Salt Life
Poetess: Holly Hunter

For a single drop of water on your lips, glistening in reflection an exquisite beauty and the luscious, aromatic sweetness of a plum, that flavor which I long to savor, I’d ride the waves of stormy waters that I may share the dreamy taste of your kiss.

Note: I posted this poem in response to Holly’s poem, “Salt Life“, which she tweeted on Twitter; so, users must be logged in to view it.

Title of Post With Link: “The Sad Cafe
Poetess: Resa McConaghy

A splendid blend of artistry, as synergy through illustration and poetry – lovely.
