Poem in Response

Prior to turning off my computer last evening, I happened to see the smile of a dear friend, the lovely poetess Michele Lee, as she appeared in the WordPress Reader – and, I wrote a few lines of poetry. This morning, I read her post “unTangled” and was inspired to complete this poem in response…

Stepping softly
Swirling smooth Sonoran sands
Moonlight drives her desert dance

An artful life
Drawing rain from the heavens
– beauty stirring tides of chance
