Dry Falls

Actually, this is lower Jack Rock Falls, located in the Obed Wild & Scenic River National Park, near Wartburg, Tennessee. As usual during the summer months, much of the Cumberland Plateau tends to run dry. This particular photograph is a 13-second long exposure.

If interested in decorating an empty wall, you can find prints available here.

Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful! Like harp strings. I imagine the music made by the falling water is just as sweet!

Yes, like you my friend. 🌺 Lovely sounds of nature with which to partake. However, I would’ve very much preferred your clarinet 😉🎶 accompaniment in place of the incessant noise of mosquitoes buzzing around my ears. 😆 Hot, humid, no breeze and I forgot the bug spray…lunch! 😂

haha 🎶 My clarinet is best heard with a band. The angelic sounds of a solo harp are the perfect complement to nature, sans the mosquitoes.

Hmm…there’s really not enough room for an orchestra in the plunge pool below the falls. Good call, Michele – the harp it is! 😇🎵

Beautiful, those waterfall strands look just like salt falling from the sky.

“Salt falling from the sky”, love it. So, too, the flavor of your words…like sugar. TY Katherine & have a wonderful weekend! 🌺
