Richland Creek

Autumn sunlight streams into the gorge housing Richland Creek, located in Dayton, Tennessee, along the Laurel-Snow Trail. Despite seasonally low water, I enjoyed hiking through this rocky terrain, several areas of which would otherwise be more difficult to traverse.

If you like this scenery, you may enjoy looking at prints available in my gallery.

Thanks very much!

I will add this to our list! We’re heading to the Chattanooga and Nashville area in January. We’re looking at doing the Mammoth Cave tours. If this is nearby, we might take a peek.

Right on. There’s so much to see, including: Richland Creek, Morgan Creek, Paine Creek Falls, Laurel Falls, Snow Falls, Buzzards Point, and in addition to historic mining remnants from the early 1900’s. Other area points of interest include Stinging Fork Falls & Piney Falls. You can see links on my “Hiking” page for greater detail. Have fun! 👍
