Tennessee Rainforest

I entered Caney Fork Gorge from the parking area at Twin Falls, traversing upstream and along the cliffs. At some point, I hiked around a large pool of standing water, between some small trees, and carefully stepped rock-to-rock across the river, to the base of Great Falls – a series of three waterfalls.

Featured here in a partial view of the main waterfall at Rock Island State Park, along with moss covering most of the rock surfaces on site…like a rainforest.
