This poem was written for a dear friend, Holly Hunter – a beautiful woman who always warms my heart, is often on my mind and in my dreams. A creative and very talented Poetess, I encourage you to visit House of Heart to read her work. Thanks very much!
A dim flicker of light
Caught my eye in the night
As I peeked through the door of my dreams
Soon the glow danced in red
Flowing curls on her head
Kissed with salt from the sea, soft moonbeams
On the beach for a walk
Moving closer to talk
Two hearts speaking the language of love
Making waves on the sand
Wet with sweat, hand in hand
Shooting stars paint the sky high above
Then, a wink in her eye
And a quick kiss goodbye
As she slipped through my arms, happily
In these dreams spending time
Sharing passion, sublime
She’s a vision of beauty – Holly
