On the Trail

I shot this black and white photograph while hiking along the trail to Spruce Flats Falls, located in the Tremont section of the Smoky Mountains, in Tennessee. Though it’s not a long trail, there are several changes in elevation, as well as areas with uneven surfaces (see photograph).

Prints available here.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nice capture Phil. These paths in the woods can be really slippery when it rains.

Wonderful scene! The tree roots are like fingers – reaching for and clinging to the earth for life. There’s so much energy in this! (And, yes, it looks like a challenge to navigate!). 👏👏♥️👏👏
