Poem

I wrote this poem for a lovely lady and frequent traveller, my dear friend Dara…

From the sands of Vero Beach
Came a girl in golden tan
Rolling north to Tennessee
Built to last – her cargo van

Summer days of seaside sun
Now, a mountaintop retreat
Where white clouds gather blue space
Hiking trails beckon her feet

Dara, dear, its morning dew
Neath your stride, another day
Happiness walks hand in hand
With good friends hoping you’ll stay
