Tables and Chairs

Pleased to find an open table at a local cafe on the lake, I wondered why no other people were present?

Well, in short order I learned – despite a wonderful setting, the only item on the menu being served for lunch that day was mutton. Having not phoned in advance, I felt somewhat sheepish and so I wandered off.

Just kidding. Really, though, if you enjoy my photography, please feel free to visit my gallery to select a print for your home!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hahaaaaa! 👏😂👏 …… ❤️❤️❤️ this image! It’s a forest of chairs! Fascinating to imagine the diners, past and future, the sounds of chairs & footsteps on stone, the clatter of knives & forks on plates. Your work always brings stories along with their beauty, Phil. How wonderful! 🥰

Glad you enjoy my sense of humor, Robin! 😂 I liked the photograph, but thought a little comedy might add some extra zing, haha. And, the musical selection was included to suggest that the off-season may have contributed to this vacant scenery. Wishing you a wonderful day & weekend, my dear friend! 🤗

lol! I was intrigued by the photo…and thought it’s probably deserted because it’s too cold. That is the case over here in 🇨🇦 capital region…still too cold for outdoor cafés and the like. In fact, we still have snow but it is quickly melting. Your joke was an unexpected twist. A good way to start Friday! Have a great weekend.

😂 Hahaha Thanks so much, dear Louise! I’m glad you like my photo, as well as the parody text I’ve added – I couldn’t resist, lol.

Yes, it’s cold here, too. Snow in the air, yesterday, but nothing that stayed on the ground for more than a brief period. In fact, I added the song for just that reason, though I suspect that the mutton would have kept crowds away equally as effectively as the cold.

Thanks again, my friend, and I also wish you a great weekend ahead! 🤗
