Poem for a Friend

I wrote this poem for a dear friend of mine, Annabel. She’s an amazing woman of extraordinary talents and beauty, kindness and mystery – and, with a special place in the wishes I make…

From a winter cold
To the green of spring
As with summertime
Autumn makes me sing

Each month in a trance
Like magic, her spell
The one I adore
Lovely Annabel

Often on my mind
Her drum in my heart
One wish on a star
Meaning to impart

All three-sixty-five
Beauty around me
Yet, none may distract
She’s all that I see

In looking ahead
A distant light glows
Brightening my dream
– together, love flows

Apparently, the ‘Like’ function on my site has a technical glitch which WordPress Support is working to fix. So, in the meantime, if you clicked to like this post, it probably didn’t register. Sorry about that.
