Poem for a Friend

Having exchanged comments with a dear friend, Penny Granger, a beautiful woman and talented Poetess hailing from northeast England – wherein we shared a mutual admiration – I was inspired to write this poem…

‘Tis, my lady, thee and me
Two peas in a pod, chatting over tea
And, if by chance, what comes to be
Is something more, then yes – I’m free
