Having read “Drumbeat“, written by a dear friend, Penny Granger – a talented Poetess and beautiful woman hailing from Durham, England – wherein she ponders poetic, deep questions of life, I was inspired to write this poem in response…

Two hearts that complement one another
‘Tis the quest, and the best we can do
Drums beating in sync, the rhythm of life
Draw together, as such, me and you
