Fortune Teller

A man and a woman sit at a table along a forested path, focused on a crystal ball that rests between them. A caravan in the background bears the sign “Fortune Reading,” adding a mystical ambiance to the autumn setting. Yet, as it turned out, this old-timer wasn’t interested in having his fortune read. Rather, he simply wanted to know if he could purchase the crystal ball, and for how much?

      Thank you for your wonderful words, my sweet and dear friend, and please don’t ever stop sharing your splendid poetry, as it always make my day brighter. ✅ I never never 😉 thought they’d ever strike a deal, sitting there for so long, but it finally happened – in exchange for the Crystal Ball, the old-timer shared a story of his early days as a pioneer and how he happened to discover gold while chasing a turkey for supper. That may not seem like much of a trade, but the fortune teller was also an author and had writer’s block, so she thought she’d run with the tale. 😝 Oh, sorry about that, I’m wandering… now, where’d I put that cup of coffee?!

      Well, any breeze is a good breeze, sure to please in contrast to the heat wave you’ve experienced, as of late, and I hope that the winds of change continue to blow.

      It’s always nice sharing your company, Penny, and I look forward to when next we meet. And, yes, I noticed and like that a lot… 💫💕🤗💫

        I love your wandering Phil, … it makes a change it’s not me, … and I have a cup of tea at the moment, it’s supposed to be cooling, more so than coffee, but I wouldn’t swear to it. Hopefully we’ll get a drop of rain here., the garden is parched, and I’m not sure if there’s a water-shortage announced, so there’ll be a hose pipe ban, … if it’s not one thing it’s another, … now, … I shall leave you in peace, … have a great day, my sweet friend, …💫💕🤗💫

          Ah, tea you say. That sounds refreshing, which is how it feels for me in your presence. I also love your descriptions Penny, and know that you so enjoy your garden, though wish it wasn’t parched. Hmm…let me see. Well, if it helps, I could try to do some sort of a rain dance. The trouble is, I still dance like I did back in 7th grade, so I may have to don an old polyester shirt with repetitive prints and a big collar, lol. While that might not bring rain, it surely would draw tears of laughter watching me ‘dance’, and may serve to nourish the soil. I sent you an email late last night, hope you got it. I think you’re a sweetheart, my dear friend – see you soon 💫💕🤗💫
