I wrote this poem for a close friend, talented Poetess and beautiful woman who’s a frequent source of inspiration, and often on my mind – Penny Granger. Guests are encouraged to visit her site and enjoy reading her poetry. Thanks very much!
She gazes through glass at evening stars
Wishing, as she ponders heavenly
Beyond her garden, into the night
Wanting to shape her own destiny
Stardust fell as she closed her tired eyes
Entering into a waiting dream
Soon arms wrapped her like a warm blanket
Kisses soft on her lips rose like steam
Whispers in her ear – I’m here, my dear
As her heart opened to welcome me
Then a smile in her eyes, no surprise
Two dreamers sharing love happily
