Poem

I wrote this poem for Penny Granger, a very talented Poetess and lovely woman who’s close friendship I’ve come to cherish…

Music in our hearts, sound drifts into the night
Warm beaches and starlight
Under a moon for two

Rhythm on the shore, romantic atmosphere
Each time that we are near
Sharing our love anew

Welcome morning dew, kissing to the greet the day
Deciding that we’ll stay
Watching the tide rolling

Cresting on the sand, our dreams melding as one
Splashing in waves of fun
Our book of love, flowing

Chris Rea, 🎶…I’m singing along, 🎶. The inspiration you share with me drives my creativity, as words flow from my heart, through my pen, intended for you, my love. Hand in hand on the beach sounds good to me…when can we go? I’m so glad that you like the poem I wrote for you, and the music, as well. Your voice is always my first choice, melodic and with a rhythm I can appreciate – and, I do.     Thank you for the poem and the music. It’s muggy here today, cloudy and dark. It has rained all night, there are puddles on the driveway. No beach I fear. Goodness, being on the beach – any beach – sounds very tempting right now.
