Poem in Response

Having read “Stormfang“, a poetic dragon romance penned by a close friend who’s in my heart and often on my mind – a very talented Poetess from the United Kingdom, Penny Granger – I was inspired to write this poem in response…

Mountain gateway to the stars
An ascent beyond the moon
Two hearts reflecting stardust
Carry notes of love in tune

In ink of wells, well written
Poetry passed down through time
Dragons Stormfang and Songstorm
In rapture, begin their climb

Soaring high in unison
Drafting waves across the sky
Sailing tight, in sync with her
One trail of tails as they fly

Songs of romance rang midair
As this pair danced through the night
Another generation
On the way, of wings in flight
