This poem was written with my darling collaborator-in-arms, the lovely and talented Penny Granger, imaginative Poetess extraordinaire hailing from the United Kingdom…
Paper boats made to float
Penned with ink, set to rhyme
– message in a bottle
Cresting waves across time
Far away, it washed ashore
And was buried in the sands
One day, unearthed by a child
Building castles with his hands
Nearby, his mother pondered
Of a love she’d lost at sea
When at once the boy appeared
Showing her, excitedly
Inside, a note familiar
And the ring he wore each day
With words written to reach her
From beyond, now castaway
