I wrote this poem with my close friend and collaborator in arms, the lovely and talented Penny Granger. Please visit her web site to enjoy her wonderful writings. Thank you!
Hidden trails and waterfalls
Valleys green come summer sun
Mountain peaks donning white coats
Shedding streams, now just begun
Rocks of moss define my way
Stepping soft, balance in stride
Peacefulness surrounding me
Grace of God, nature my guide
Not the first to walk these paths
History, I recognize
Yet, with each hike I garner
Fresh beauty, feeding my eyes
Come with me, among the trees
Round the bend, another view
There’s so much here to enjoy
Soothe your soul, commence anew
