I wrote this poem with my close friend, the lovely and very talented Penny Granger, my darling collaborator in arms…
Heavy snow fell overnight
Blanketing the earth in white
Deathly cold, an arctic chill
Reindeer frozen, standing still
Christmas Eve, Santa’s big day
Wishing to get underway
With no sled to fly, plum out of luck
Mrs. Claus opined, “Just take the truck!”
A turn of the key, and off he flew
Racing with time, this magic venue
Delivering gifts, youngsters delight
Harnessing horsepower through the night
