Having read “Curves and Flows“, written by a very talented and lovely poetess hailing from Florida, my dear friend Holly Hunter – in which her flowing words paint an ethereal, romantic image – I was inspired to write this poem in response…
I arose to the aroma of a rose
With her hair draped in my face
– Holly in the House of Heart
Flowing red, in silk and lace
Cascading streams of stardust
Rained like water, heaven-sent
Onto our bodies, soaking
Reveling in loves ascent
To the moon, then back again
Riding cosmic waves of bliss
There’s really nothing better
Than to share her scent and kiss
