Poem in Response

Having read “O que realmente importa” (Portuguese, translated What Really Matters), penned by a talented writer, lovely lady and dear friend hailing from Lisbon, Portugal – Carla Milho – I was inspired to write this poem in response…

Along the seashore
Together, once more
Holding hands as we walk at twilight

Our hearts, like a drum
Beat loud, as if one
On and on music flows into night

Trees groove to the breeze
Bodies pressed to please
Passion plays as we dance with the moon

Stardust fills our eyes
And we realize
Heavenly summer love, two in tune
