Poem for a Friend

This poem was written for a beautiful woman and dear friend…

Lifting lids
Shades, for a view
Open wide
In search of you

Shed the dark
Embark to see
Visions of
Life’s harmony

Ring the bell
Together, dear
Long the night
Each drawing near

Come sunrise
As we awake
This new day
Is ours to make
