Having read “Memories“, written by a dear friend, Penny Granger – in which she features text of her poetry arranged in the shape of a beautiful woman walking away, accompanied by a GIF – I was inspired to write this poem in response, as two separate comments on her site…
‘Tis pleasing to the eye
Each time that she walks by
I wave “come back”, and sigh
Hoping, oh me oh my
Ah, it’s time to make chase
To see her lovely face
And marvel at her smile
For that, I’d run a mile

NOTE: this poem uses the Preformatted Block, which allows for indentation of text exactly as pasted. However, in so doing, a monospace font is used.
