Following yesterday’s Poem in Response about hummingbirds, having been inspired by reading Singing to Birds, written by my dear friend, the beautiful and very talented Poetess, Holly Rene Hunter, this poem builds on that same theme…
If I were a hummingbird
And you, garden of delight
I’d sail on a summer breeze
To be with you day and night
Nectar finer than any
With a smile second to none
So beautiful, your petals
Dewy sweet with morning sun
