Poem in Response

Having read “Singing to Birds“, written by a dear friend and lovely Floridian Poetess, Holly Rene Hunter – wherein she welcomes summer with hummingbirds as seasonal harbingers – I was inspired to write this poem in response…

A summer song from wings that sing
Fill the air, everywhere fluttering
Bringing beauty near
Shaping atmosphere
Flights of love, Hummingbirds do their thing
