I wrote this poem for Penny Granger – a close friend, frequent source of inspiration and the apple of my eye…
Waking in a dream
Sweet peaches and cream
On a beach, making tracks in the sand
As stardust she came
Her passion aflame
Burning bright with warm love, hand in hand
Two hearts, like a drum
Beat loudly as one
As we danced into night by the moon
With rhythm we rose
In waves, rolling flows
Amorous, happiness played in tune
Come morning sunrise
One look in our eyes
And we knew that this dream was for real
Sweet times on the shore
Our love, evermore
Tasting life, as we share what we feel
