Poem for a Friend

I wrote this poem for a dear friend & kindred spirit from England, the beautiful and very talented Poetess, Penny Granger. She’s a frequent source of inspiration and often makes me smile. To enjoy her creative writings, please visit her web site – thank you!

We met after midnight
– this secret rendezvous
On a beach in a dream
Happiness set for two

A vision of beauty
She rained down, heavenly
Like stardust from above
To the sand, we fell free

Our hearts danced by the moon
In rhythm, became one
Sharing love timelessly
Knowing we’ve just begun
