Telephone Lines

A weathered telephone pole with several wires and overgrown vines stands stark against a cloudless blue sky. The old wood and metal structures contrast well with the vivid sky, providing an artful display.

If you’d like my photograph on a wall in your home, you can find a variety of fine prints in my gallery at Phil Perkins Photography.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A telephone connection being claimed, ever so slowly, by natures hand, my darling, …and that gorgeous blue sky is amazing in contrast, … ti mando tutto il mio amore, il mio cuore e la mia anima, …across the miles, priority mail, always, …❤️

Yes, my darling lady, natures vines, reclaiming phone lines, twisting round poles into tangled rolls, remnants of communication replaced by wi-fi, now vacation in empty space all over the place… Ti mando tutto il mio amore, il mio cuore e la mia anima, as well, over the pond, priority mail, always… ❤️

This reminds me of the song I Am A Lineman For The County, Glen Campbell. ☺️

My Dad worked for Southwestern Bell for 45 years, in all kinds of weather! He installed most of the telephone systems in Downtown Dallas. Thank you for posting this and giving me an opportunity to honor him today.

Thanks so much for your wonderful comment, dear Robyn. As kids, my brother and I used to collect glass insulators from old telephone poles, and I continue to enjoy the character and presence of these posts, on the mountain where I live. Have a great day! ✨🤗
