Snow-Covered Ski Chairlift

An abandoned chairlift is captured in a snow-covered forest, creating a serene winter scene. The bare trees and snow add to the ghostly atmosphere, as the ski resort closed decades ago.

A chairlift to nowhere, my darling man, … just hanging around waiting to be reborn, …and it does look positively spooky, …did I just see someone nearby? … Vorrei tanto che fossi io, tesoro mio, …PS❤️

It’s a surreal scene, if you know what I mean, metal structures in air without anyone there? Spooky, indeed, my darling lady, and your response has inspired thoughts of a poem, for tomorrow? We’ll have to see, and I may seek counsel from thee… And, Vorrei che tu fossi qui, tesoro mio, ogni giorno… PS❤️

I wonder how many folks sat on that chair while the ski area was still in service, its kind of sad to see it so all alone.

Quite a few, I suspect, back in its heyday.

Wow… this scene is hauntingly beautiful, like a quiet memory frozen in time. The bare trees dusted with snow and the abandoned chairlift create such a surreal, almost magical winter world. I can’t wait to explore your galleries and perhaps bring a piece of this serene mystery into my home with one of your prints.

Thanks so much, Harish. It’s somewhat surreal, seeing ski chairlifts being consumed by the forest with time, as the facilities were simply abandoned several decades ago.
