Books of Art

What do you do with a stack of old books you’ve already read?

Of course, there are a variety of alternative uses…

  1. read them, again
  2. donate the books to a local library
  3. correct the height differential on a chair with one short leg
  4. elevate your seat while singing by a window

Indeed, the list goes on and on – and, includes using the books as a resource from which to create artwork.

The latter suggestion, manipulating a photograph of said books using Affinity Photo software, brings us to the present; that is, an opportunity for you to review my artwork on a variety of fine products:

Thanks so much for reading & visiting! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

  3. Lovely photo ๐Ÿ˜. I keep books I liked and sometimes reread them. I like seeing them on the shelf, like little worlds I can visit again any time I want. I moderately collect picture and art books. If I don’t love a book, I donate it to the library.

  4. Keep them on my floor to ceiling shelves I have along one entire wall in my living room because I feel like books dress a room with coziness – and then read them again when I feel like it ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Yes, I think that’s right. Creativity emanates within the chaotic display of differing sizes, color and texture of books, providing a wonderful aesthetic, therein. Thanks for sharing your lovely smile, my dear friend Hannah, and I hope you have a great weekend ๐Ÿค—๐ŸŒน

  5. Sometimes I cut out certain parts of the book to highlight phrases or anecdotes
