Closed for the Season

This black and white photograph was taken in the woods on the mountain where I live. Decades ago, there was a ski resort here, but the operation closed and was abandoned. Today, the forest is reclaiming space, with trees growing as several of the ski chair lifts remain grounded.

If interested, you can find prints available in my gallery at Saatchi Art.

Thanks for stopping by!

Nature reclaiming what was lost in the past, … it looks such a sad capture Phil, … I wonder what it will look like 20/30 years hence, … green and lush I hope, … and it’s always good to stop by my friend, hoping your Friday is a good one, …💫🤗💙💫

…busy morning. I always appreciate your company, dear Penny ~ thank you! It’s a ghost town among what was once a thriving winter recreational area, with many chair lift seats now tangled in the new growth of trees. Sending for you the same, my friend, warm wishes for a wonderful Friday 💫🤗💙💫

Abandoned spaces, contrasts of man made in nature where nature overtakes makes for beautiful haunting photos – nicely captured Phil.

It’s as if everyone just picked up and walked away. Empty seats in a forest, scattered and turned upside down, quiet. A ghost town, of sorts, where the metal of man rusts and is consumed by hungry trees with memories. As is often the case, dear Kate, your words are a delight in my eyes ~ thank you! 🤗
