Ice Crystals

A close-up of a twig covered in sharp, spiky ice formations. The background is a stark, minimalist white that enhances the dramatic texture of the ice.

  1. Such a beautiful capture of Natures icy design, my darling man, … white and so spiky, …and to answer your question, I love the design of Winter, the sheer beauty of white snow, and frosty crystals ..but, …not the cold, … Adoro crogiolarmi nel calore del tuo sguardo, amore mio, … e condividere con te, …❤️

    1. ‘Tis a sight to behold, standing close to share warmth and not getting cold. Supposedly, we’re about to experience a significant winter event, or so forecasts convey, but that’s ok – it’s a chance to capture nature’s frozen beauty. Vorrei che tu fossi qui, amore mio, così potremmo ammirare tutto questo insieme… ❤️

      1. idem amore mio, …❤️

  2. It looks dangerous.

    1. It does, indeed. That particular morning, everything in sight was covered with these icy spikes. Thanks, NSLB 🙂

  5. Another very cool photo ! Literally lol. Looks like something out of Star Trek, great shot

    1. Yes, so cool, and likely just a sample of what’s to come this weekend. And, gotta love Star Trek! Thanks, dear Susan ✨🤗

      1. We are supposed to have temperatures down to -30 Celsius and maybe lower. I will not be leaving my house ! Lol

        1. Stay safe and keep warm, dear Susan. We’re expecting the possibility of heavy freezing ice, so electrical outages may be an issue. ✨🤗🙏

          1. You stay safe and warm too! I hope we don’t have outages but we do have a generator, fireplace and woodstove so I guess we’ll survive. I need winter to be over lol

    1. Yes indeed, dear Vanya. If fact, the whole mountain was covered with these spiky crystals – plants, twigs and trees. I hope you’re doing well, and wish you a warm winter, my friend 🌺✨🤗

      1. Wishing you a warm winter too, Phil!

        1. Thank you, dear Vanya 🙂

  6. Wow that’s incredible!

    1. It really was an incredible sight, dear Hannah, with the entire upper mountain covered in a crystalline white, where ice seemed to form organically as growths on every available surface. A ‘cool’ winter scene, for sure. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, my friend! 🤗

  7. Wow! Gorgeous ice structure!

    1. I agree, dear Boriana – very ‘cool’! 😉

  8. A beautiful ice artifact. Capturing the essence naturally.

    1. Thanks very much!

  9. That’s interesting, Phil.

    1. It was an interesting morning, waking to see everything covered in these crystal, growth-like structures. I think we were in a cloud overnight, that night, and the temperatures dropped significantly, causing these crystals to appear. Thanks, dear Mary ~ have a wonderful week ahead! ✨🤗
