This poem was written for a dear friend hailing from Florida – the gorgeous and very talented Poetess, Holly Hunter. A frequent source of inspiration, she’s often in my dreams and wishful visions of romance…
From comfort of cotton
Through a window at night
She stepped into a dream
Filled with joy and delight
Counting stars in the sky
Mapping points into space
Setting sail on a wish
Bound for heated embrace
In waves of Europa
Happy hearts splashed in love
Til twilight broke darkness
Stardust rained from above
Morning greeted the day
With a rose by her head
As she pinched herself twice
Calling me back to bed
